Matter of Life, Death Unfolds in New Mystery Novel
GULF BREEZE, Fla. (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- Author Joseph M. Callewaert invites readers on an adventure of life and death in his new mystery novel, “A Consuming Fire” (published by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson & Zondervan), which follows one man’s journey through life, death and life again.
Michael Bertram is the embodiment of skepticism. He believes only in that which he can see or touch and regards physical life as the end-all of existence. Because of this, he cherishes every moment of life and has an immense fear of dying.
While climbing Mont Blanc in France, Michael dies in an accident. He is cremated and his ashes are brought home. His business partner Peter Sorel and his wife are both horrified and overcome with joy when he reappears in his Boston office a week later, very much alive.
“A Consuming Fire” follows Michael as he and his wife struggle to figure out the mystery of his seemingly impossible return. Devoid of violence, sex, detectives or police involvement, Callewaert’s book was written to entertain readers and help them realize the saving power of a strongly held faith.
“Very few people have any grasp of what they are,” Callewaert says. “Most importantly, they should realize that any single individual may not be very important, but he or she is, in a sense, part of God.”
