Author Jude Kamal Offers a Unique and Inspirational Tale of Sisterhood and Survival in New Book
MISSISSAUGA, Canada (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- After being diagnosed with Beta Thalassemia Major, author Jude Kamal has learned to live life with passion and to become grateful for all her blessings. During the same year of Jude’s diagnosis, her sister Sarah was also diagnosed with the same genetic blood disorder, leaving both their parents heartbroken. However, Jude did not let it affect her perspective in life. Thus, she realized that life might not always be fair, but regardless of whatever challenges she might face, she is still lucky to be alive. THALASSEMIA is an inspirational and poignant tale of a unique sisterhood’s journey towards acceptance, hope, survival and family. It is a heartfelt and touching journey that unravels the unbroken sisterly bond, inner strength and the constant struggle that never seems to end.
Thalassemia is a secret. It is an entity within that no one knows about. It is a creature inside that lies beyond the human eye. This disease is a sensitive topic to both Jude and her sister. It is so personal to them that it reached to a point that it becomes hard and mostly impossible to talk about. Jude and Sarah did not want any of their friends to know about the disorder. They did not want to be treated differently. They did not want to be seen as outcasts, and they were not comfortable to open up about it.
Although Jude hated Thalassemia at times, blamed herself for all the struggles she faces, she made herself believe that enduring pain will make her stronger. As it has been such a great effort to hide it from their friends, the thought of being treated normally was still an achievement. They were there for each other no matter what challenge they had.
The author aims to inspire readers and allows them to be grateful for what they have. They should realize that life is short and they should live it fully and happily. Until now, Thalassemia is still a wide spread disorder that is rarely talked about and people are more open to hear about it in our world today. This book will showcase awareness to what the disease is about and teaches everybody that it is never easy however, one can only hope and understand.
