"The ability to more accurately share the highlights of a booth conversation with the sales team post show will lead to better conversations and an increased conversion rate through the sales cycle.” says Tasha Birdwell.

How do you differentiate your product and brand from your competition at a trade show? Faced with this challenge, the marketing team at Kaba Access & Data Systems (ADS) - Americas looked to technology to offer a solution. In a year that has brought the acquisition of Keyscan, brand design enhancements and the merger with Dorma, Kaba needed a solution that included current products while providing fluidity as the company, as well as its products and markets grow and change.
"Our company is changing so much right now," states Stephen Pollack, vice president of marketing. “We were looking for a way to showcase our current products and be able to easily incorporate new selections for future events.”
The primary objective of attending a trade show cannot be overlooked – building new business relationships. With that in mind, Kaba created an interactive experience that is both engaging to the prospect and offers a take-away piece to create a more meaningful post-show follow-up. Kaba has chosen the latest interactive technology to capture the attention of the prospect and encourage them to invest more time at the company’s exhibit – turning brief moments into more productive minutes per visit.
At the American Society for Industrial Security Exposition (ASIS) in Anaheim, CA, the Kaba exhibit will feature the new iKIOSK, a large-format interactive touch-screen experience. The unit allows interested visitors the opportunity to create a customized Kaba access control system for their facility. Answering a few questions via the touchscreen creates an access control assessment that can be printed or emailed, defining the Kaba product(s) best suited to their environment. This system builds on the already existing interactive pieces incorporated at previous shows.
“In other industries interactive technology is a focal point of the trade show experience,” says Tasha Birdwell, marketing manager. “We were able to create an experience unlike anything we have seen in our industry. The ability to more accurately share the highlights of a booth conversation with the sales team post show will lead to better conversations and an increased conversion rate through the sales cycle.”
