Two Bugs Teach Children About Friendship in New Book
Adams, NY (PRWEB) July 26, 2014 -- From Kathy Taber-Montgomery, author of “We Live in a Zoo,” comes the new children’s book, “The Fabulous Friendship of Bumble and Bug” (published by AuthorHouse), a story about the power of friendship.
Set on a campground, "The Fabulous Friendship of Bumble and Bug” tells the story of two unlikely friends. Bumble, a bumble bee, and Bug, a lady bug, are always getting shooed away by people, but all they really want is to fit in and make friends.
When Bug finds Bumble crying high up in a tree, he calls her down and asks what is wrong. The two realize they have a lot in common and don’t need the friendship of people who don’t understand them. Together they laugh, play, and drink tea in the flowers.
“The Fabulous Friendship of Bumble and Bug” teaches young readers the value of friendship and that friends are not people who make them feel bad about themselves. Taber-Montgomery hopes her readers will learn something new and be entertained by the book’s colorful pictures.
“The illustrations bring the characters and story to life,” says Taber-Montgomery. “The story itself leaves a lot of room for conversation between parent and child or educator and child on what true friendship really means.”
