Katrina Parker of “The Voice” Launches Line of Fun, Flirty Vintage Inspired Plus Size Dresses

The focus of Katrina Parker Frocks is to create figure-flattering dresses recalling a 1950s era of girly glamour and coquettish charm, based on Parker’s favorite silhouette—a fitted bodice and full skirt, perfect for moving, singing, dancing and having fun. The first batch of Katrina Parker Frocks is the “Sweets” line, offering candy-themed swing dresses is available in three summery designs, all 100 percent cotton and fully lined.
Introducing the “Sweets” line is “Heaven on a Stick,” aptly named for its pink and white cotton candy print. This dreamy swing dress has a full skirt that ends mid calf, making it appropriate for a fancy dinner date or a night of dancing.
Next is “The Early Bird Gets The Worm” a sassy knee-length design featuring a multi-colored gummy worm print against a white background. The Early Bird is a perfect choice to wear to Sunday brunch, the county fair, or a trip to Disneyland.
The third dress in the “Sweets” line, “confectionately” called “Whoopie Pie In The Sky,” has a playful knee-length skirt and features delectable-looking whoopie pies on a bold pink background—perfect for a party, an art gallery opening, or a wedding shower.
Inspired by her own love of vintage dresses, and a desire to bring flattering fashions with a sense of humor to other plus size ladies, Parker decided to create the line using prints that are cheeky, a little shameless and extra adorable.
“There’s this idea that plus size women should have a tortured relationship with food, and we think there’s something delightfully subversive about turning that expectation on its head with the Sweets line,” Parker says.
