Keepers of the Lost Art Hosting Happy Holidays Contest
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 03, 2013 -- Remember when being a kid was more about climbing trees and less about toting the latest high tech gadget? Keepers of the Lost Art does! The Los Angeles based company has just launched its Happy Holidays Contest on Facebook to amplify its progressive, kid-centric message online.
So what is Keepers of the Lost Art all about? The company creates an innovative line of comic books that supports the theory that kids should be kids by using their imaginations daily and creating personal worlds with peers through play - not to mention downright silliness!
The comic books spotlight a cast of ragtag kids who come together to bring back the lost art of being a kid and conquer factors like consumerism that work against their efforts. With educational elements and a thirst for kid-friendly (and parent approved!) adventure, Keepers of the Lost Art gives kids the confidence to learn and develop life skills to become the adults we need to carry on the future!
"A few years ago, we got the seemingly simple idea that sticks are cool. From that simple idea, we drew up a whole realm of possibilities for kid power, from the old-fashioned grass whistles to passing on an ancient Olmec legacy. We have the first step in hand, a comic book and accompanying basic website, which lays out the foundation for our mission," says Kathryn King, co-founder of Keepers of the Lost Art.
Another fun fact? The Keepers of the Lost Art website is just for kids. It's been specifically coded to allow kids to browse safely and find games, experiments and other activities that spark the imagination and help them make the most of their time offline. Adults can learn more about Keepers by visiting and engaging in the Keepers of The Lost Art social media sites:

Keepers of the Lost Art started the Happy Holidays Contest to underscore its forward thinking message and to help the public get involved in their efforts to bring back the lost art of being a kid. It's a weeklong Facebook promotion being held from December 2nd to December 8th, giving participants the chance to win one of three Keepers of the Lost Art t-shirts as well as a set of fabric pens. Winners are to be notified the morning of December 9th.
