Sierra Vista, Ariz. (PRWEB) December 08, 2014 -- Author Kelly F. Holland’s new self-help guide, “Primary Gift: Awaken to the Excellence of Your Life’s Journey” (published by Balboa Press), challenges all readers to see the beauty and excellence within themselves and share their gifts with the world through her own story of overcoming adversity.
Born to a mother with schizophrenia and an absent alcoholic father, Holland grew up fast. She was the only one who understood her mother’s psyche and often protected her siblings from her mother’s violent outbursts. Holland’s unstable home led her to take big risks as a teenager, experimenting with drugs and breaking into homes.
It wasn’t until Holland came to Pilot House, a home for delinquent teenagers, that she began to piece her life together and discover love. From there she embarked on a lifelong journey of self-discovery that would lead her to uncover the excellence that lived inside her.
Holland’s goal for “Primary Gift” is to inspire her readers, especially teenagers and young adults, to make a difference in the world using their own special gifts. She hopes her book will serve as a catalyst for their sparks of inspiration.
