Kevin Zdrill’s New Book to Be Featured at Frankfurt Book Fair
Winnipeg, Manitoba (PRWEB) September 07, 2013 -- Readers rejoice. Gus Adams, the middle-aged hero from Kevin Zdrill’s “No Kiss Good-Night” is back for a new adventure in “Boom Chicka Wah Wah” (published by iUniverse), one of the titles to be featured at the 2013 Frankfurt Book Fair.
“More and more men and women are putting off marrying or deciding to have children well into their late 30’s and 40’s,” says Zdrill. “‘Boom Chicka Wah Wah’ speaks to this group of individuals who are suddenly faced with life changing decisions.”
Six years after “No Kiss Good-Night,” Gus is in happy though routine relationship with Mitch. Lately though, there seems to be an itch that Mitch just can’t scratch. Gus feels like he’s missing something, like a great adventure that he’s supposed to be on. Meanwhile, Mitch is pressuring him to get married and settle down as her biological clock is ticking louder and louder.
That doesn’t stop Gus. As he and his friends embark on their own missions to live extraordinary lives, Gus goes further and further to test his manhood, leaving Mitch wondering if her time and effort is even worth it.
Zdrill masterfully renders the city of Winnipeg’s Osborne Village, capturing the scenery and local residents. He has created lasting characters the readers can relate to and placed them in a setting that is engaging and intriguing. “If I can make someone laugh out loud, feel compelled to keep reading into the next chapter, identify with the theme or discuss the book with friends, then I’ve triggered a lasting experience.”
