Aircraft Management and Private Jet Charter Provider Key Air Welcomes Back Founder to Lead its Management Team
Oxford, CT (PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Key Air, a leading national provider of best-in-class aircraft management and worldwide executive jet charter services is pleased to announce the return of its Founder, Alan DePeters, to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. DePeters, who founded the company in February 1986 along with two of his business partners, served as Key Air’s first President. At its inception, he guided Key Air’s expansion and that of its sister FBO (Fixed Based Operations) Company, Keystone Aviation Services – also founded by the same group – to quickly change the landscape of the Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC) in Oxford, Connecticut. Through his leadership, Mr. DePeters built a strong infrastructure enabling Key Air to grow from one aircraft managed account to seventeen accounts within his 20 year tenure. With the success of Key Air’s aircraft management model, the airport transformed from primarily servicing personal twin engine turbine and small aircraft to basing several midsize and heavy long-range business jets.
Mr. DePeters was also instrumental to Key Air as a Part 135 and Part 91 type rated pilot. He flew many of the aircraft in Key Air’s fleet at that time, from the line of Hawkers to many Gulfstream types including II, III, IV, 450 and V. He built and led the team of highly experienced and professional pilots to ensure a strong foundation for the successful growth of Key Air’s charter program.
Key Air’s Board of Directors was thrilled to appoint Mr. DePeters to his new position. He has been an “active member” of the Advisory Board and is looking forward to assuming the leadership position once again.
“I am honored to have been appointed to the role of Key Air’s President and CEO by its Board of Directors,” stated Alan DePeters. “It is with great pleasure that I return to such a dynamic organization which I instituted over 27 years ago and I feel privileged to lead its team of aviation professionals dedicated to Key Air’s continued success.”
