Aircraft Management and Private Jet Charter Specialist Key Air Continues to Attract Notable Aviation Professionals to its Leadership Team
Oxford, CT (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Key Air, a leading national provider of best-in-class aircraft management and worldwide executive jet charter services is pleased to announce the appointment of 40 year aviation veteran Jim Bennett as its Vice President of Flight Operations and experienced aviation professional Bill Ekstrom as its Manager of Business Operations.
Prior to joining Key Air, Mr. Bennett held a similar position for 135 operator, Jet Access, where he contributed significantly to enhancing the certificate and growth of their fleet. With a career spanning over 40 years in aviation, his experience and knowledge will be beneficial to Key Air’s day-to-day operations. As a well-respected and experienced pilot, Mr. Bennett has flown over 21,000 hours and holds type ratings in the following aircraft: Boeing 727, Citation 500/550, Challenger 604, Falcon 50, DC-A26 & DC-3, Gulfstream V, Hawker 800, Westwind, and Learjets. He was also a CAM, GV Check Airman and Standards Captain at Tag Aviation. At Key Air, he will be current and qualified to fly private charter in the G450/550 and GV types including a Check Airman Status making him an even more valuable member of the team.

Mr. Ekstrom joins Key Air with an extensive background in sales, flight operations and project management. His varied experience will be instrumental to his role in developing and enhancing processes that continue to provide industry leading, customer-focused services to Key Air's aircraft management and charter clients. Formerly with Cessna Aircraft Company and CitationAir for over eight years, Mr. Ekstrom was a Business Development and Sales Manager responsible for developing CitationAir’s product and for building relationships with existing customers. Mr. Ekstrom earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a commercial pilot and CFI/CFII/MEII certificates.
