Ivan Reynolds teaches young readers about care for feral animals
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (PRWEB) February 24, 2016 -- In a small town in the United Arab Emirates, there are many feral cats surviving under tough conditions. Ivan Reynolds tells the story of his family welcoming a feral cat named Mommy into their home to have her kittens in “Kittens Under my Kitchen Sink” (published by Partridge Singapore).
“(The book) is written for children to be able to grasp the difficulties of feral animal survival and how humans can assist them without interfering with the natural order of nature,” author Ivan Reynolds explains.
The story is accompanied by pictures, which captures the growth of the young kittens from birth to when they are ready to leave home. Young readers will get to see the ways in which a person can help feral animals and respect the lives of all creatures.
“With the increased urbinisation of society and the increased alienation of animals, it depicts how people can be of assistance to feral animals without dramatically interfering with their natural survival,” says Reynolds.
