18-Year-Old Athlete Brings New Sight to His Sport with LASIK Procedure
Charlotte N.C. (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- Christenbury Eye Center, a leading laser eye surgery center in Charlotte, N.C., restored the vision of star fullback Neil Mullins on his 18th birthday. Neil plays football for Man High School in Man, West Virginia. His poor vision forced him to wear glasses. Neil's family, having had successful procedures at Christenbury Eye Center, encouraged Neil to undergo a LASIK procedure. Neil is thrilled with his perfect, new eyesight and he shed his glasses for football.
When asked about his eyesight before and after LASIK, Neil says, "I couldn't be happier about the results. Before LASIK, I worried my glasses would affect my performance during scrimmages or a game. Now, I can see better than ever in my life and my performance is much improved."
Neil's family are fans of Christenbury Eye Center. His mother and both maternal grandparents have restored eyesight thanks to Dr. Christenbury and the Center.
After ReSTOR, Neil’s grandfather could read without reading glasses or bifocals. The results were so impressive that his entire family jumped onboard to do the same.
Neil’s mother, Michelle Mullins, and grandmother, Tonette Carter, traveled to Charlotte for procedures on the same day. Neil's mother, Michelle Mullins, had a LASIK procedure and after her 3-month follow-up appointment she can comfortably see without glasses. Neil's grandmother, Tonette Carter, experienced a ReSTOR lens replacement procedure and she couldn’t be happier with her newly restored vision.
"We strive to help people improve their lives," says Dr. Jonathan Christenbury, Medical Director of Christenbury Eye Center. "Knowing Neil's family traveled together to Charlotte to support Neil is an inspiration. We can't wait to hear how Neil's corrected vision improves his game. He's one impressive young man."
