Cookie Maven Daria Artem of Lady Fortunes Inc announces several new products at the International Fancy Food Show in NYC, June 29th through July 1. These products have been nearly a decade in the making, and anticipation is thick among buyers eager to get a first peak at them.
Gluten Free-fortune Cookies:
The World's First Gluten Free Fortune Cookies have been successfully developed by Lady Fortunes Inc, and by all accounts have exceeded expectations. "When people think of gluten-free, they often associate it with an inferior taste," says Daria Artem. "But our gluten-free fortune cookies actually taste even better than their original wheat based counterparts!" The cookie, made with non-GMO potato starch and rice flour has a light, crisp and airy texture and a flavor that even the most skeptical gourmet would have a hard time resisting.
The company plans to have the line available for mass production and sale by mid July 2014 and will be taking orders on site at the Show.
Available, dipped in chocolates and decorated with hand crafted Royal Icing embellishments, the website will offer a gluten free version of the fortune cookies.
Daria plans to expand her gluten-free line to her other products as well, including Cupcakes, Cake Pops, and Sugar Cookies.
"It was important for me to come out with a gluten-free line, not only because it was a top request over these years, but also because I have a family member who was recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant- now she will be able to enjoy my cookies once again!" says the entrepreneur.
