The Walters Group is Selling 200 Acre Feet of Las Vegas Water Rights

The Walters Group

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) June 20, 2014

The Walters Group is immediately offering for sale 200 acre feet of fully transferable Las Vegas Water Rights at the rate of $20,000 per acre foot which is current market value. The water rights are fully transferable. The nature of these Las Vegas water rights is the most highly valuable designation for water rights available in the State of Nevada. Investors may elect to purchase these water rights in full, as single transaction of all two hundred (200) or in blocks of as few as two (2) acre feet.

All appropriate documentation of the water rights will be provided by seller. For immediate reference purposes please refer to application number 24909, certificate number 8017 and permit numbers 23088, 23089 and 24904. Only serious inquiries will be considered.

Why Buy Water Rights?
Nevada's Water Rights law is based on statutes enacted in 1903 and 1905 and are founded on the principal of Prior Appropriation. Unlike some other states, Nevada has a statewide system for the administration of both ground water and surface water. Appropriative water rights are based on the concept of applying water to Beneficial Use and "First in Time, First in Right." Appropriative water rights can be lost through non-use and they may be sold or transferred apart from the land. Due in large part to the relative scarcity of water in Nevada and numerous competing uses, Nevada has had a thriving market for water rights transfers for a number of years. "It's a great time to invest in water as people rethink how they use water and how much they need. We have a fixed amount of water and growing demand," said Jud Hill, an operating partner at NGP Global Adaptation Partners.

Drought and future water supply are cause for growing concern. Global climate scientists continue to raise questions that put old models and studies in question. Future demographic shifts and increased demand for food will strain existing allocations and systems. The unintended consequences of surface water use, and diversion has created devastating results in some areas already. Today pumping of ground water in some areas of the United States has lowered water tables hundreds of miles away. Recharge rates based in time may be measured in thousands of years. Looking forward one thing is certain; the demand for water will only increase.
