Local Law Office Invites Golden Colorado to Join the Marijuana Conversation

Golden, CO (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- The Amendment 64 Task Force has been tasked with gathering local public opinion around the establishment and presence of retail marijuana stores in the City of Golden, CO. “Marijuana is a fast evolving issue here in Colorado and as a task force committee member, I am here to offer a place where the community from all walks of life can voice their opinions on the topic,” said David Jones, Attorney At Law.

As of November 6, 2012, the voters of the State of Colorado adopted Amendment 64 of the Colorado Constitution (“Amendment 64”), which is codified as Section 16 of Article XVIII of the Colorado Constitution. Amendment 64 permits persons twenty-one years of age and older to possess, use, display, purchase or transport one ounce or less of marijuana, or marijuana accessories, to grow limited amounts of marijuana and manufacture and sell marijuana accessories. Amendment 64 and its enacting legislation, the Colorado Retail Marijuana Code provides for the establishment of retail marijuana establishments, which include cultivating, testing and product manufacturing facilities, and retail marijuana stores.
