New Poetry Collection Sends Positive Message to Readers
St. Pauls, NC (PRWEB) August 08, 2014 -- The driving force behind the writings in the new book “Power Outage: Inspiration When Life’s Storms Leave You in the Dark” (published by WestBow Press) by author Leketha “1Word” Leggett is a message of perseverance.
With this collection of emotionally charged poems and short stories, Leggett hopes to inspire readers to seek God through pain, loss and other life experiences.
“Everyone has experienced some type of ‘power outage’ and can identify with the words and stories in this book,” Leggett says. “It deals with real-life issues and challenges in a simple format.”
Leggett’s focus is not on rhythmic phrasing but on displaying a message of hope through illustrations, stories and poetry. The layout of the book allows readers to skip through or enjoy a front-to-back read without missing out on its main message.
“Power Outage” describes power as a force that is produced in many ways – naturally, physically and spiritually. Leggett says the results of losing this power are all the same and lead to a void of light in a person’s life.
The only way to correct a power outage, according to Leggett, is to reconnect to a power source – and that power source can be anything from faith to hope to positive thinking.
