Sublime K9 Dog Training, Long Island’s premier dog training company would like to welcome Joey to the Sublime K9 family. Joey is a one year old pit bull that was thrown from a moving vehicle in Brentwood, NY in August of 2012. Joey suffered severe injuries, including a broken neck, and was unable to walk. Doctors weren’t sure that Joey would ever be able to walk or would fully recover. Because Joey’s history was unknown and nobody claimed him as their own, Joey was placed for adoption and hundreds of applicants stepped up to the plate. Who wouldn’t want to give this sweet boy another chance at life?
The veterinary center that performed surgery for Joey knew that finding a home for him would be easy, but finding the best home for him was of most importance. He needed a home with owners who could handle any special needs he might develop and understand that Joey was a special case.
The chosen home was that of veterinarian Dr. Lynda Louden, of Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hospital in Farmingdale. Not only does she have the knowledge and education to make her the best owner for Joey, she also fell in love with this sweet boy. With her help, Joey has exceeded all expectations and lives a normal life. What’s even better is that he has begun working with dog training expert, Jessica Freedman, of Sublime K9 Dog Training, based in Long Island.
Jessica will continue working with Joey on basic obedience as well as agility. Yes, that’s right, AGILITY! Joey is amazing and has gone from being paralyzed to jumping over hurdles. Each week Jessica will work with Joey to teach commands such as sit, stay, heel, down, come and place as well as agility training. This video is of his first try at agility. Joey is a fast learner. Sublime K9 will keep customers updated on Joey’s adventures with agility and training at http://www.dogtrainerslongisland.net.
