New book ‘Glimpses of God’s Grace’ details life of Christian pilot
CARROLLTON, Va. (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- Lt. Col. William M. “Spike” Jones has led an exciting life through his time serving in the U.S. Air Force, but he says he would have never accomplished anything had it not been for God. His new memoir, “Glimpses of God’s Grace: The Extraordinary Life of an Ordinary Guy” (published by WestBow Press), traces Jones’ life from high school band member to fighter pilot.
Filled with humor and excitement, “Glimpses of God’s Grace” begins with Jones as a high school student. He describes himself as a “130 pound band geek.” His life changes when he earns a congressional appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. From there, he goes on to become an F-15 pilot and command the very squadron where he began his training.
Jones attributes his unexpected success in the Air Force to God’s grace. He uses his experiences as a platform to speak to readers about God’s desire for a relationship with mankind.
An excerpt from “Glimpses of God’s Grace”:
“We were each locked up on one following them from about 9000 feet back. They descended low over the water and began to weave back and forth in what could have only been an attempt to have us run into each other. If this is a ‘Cold War,’ why am I sweating?”
