“NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts,” says the organization’s president, Janet Harris-Lange.
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 09, 2015
My Classified Ads, LLC, continues to garner professional recognition: The National Women Business Owners Corp. (NWBOC) has announced that MCA has been certified as being eligible for the Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Program; additional information about the company can be found at http://myclassifiedads.net.
A nationally recognized non-profit organization, NWBOC is the first certifier of Women Business Enterprises. More than 700 public and private sector individuals participated in establishing its Standards and Procedures for what they deemed a “rigid certified review,” officials said.
“NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts,” says the organization’s president, Janet Harris-Lange. “At the same time, NWBOC also hopes to decrease the number of front operations participating on corporate and government outreach programs.”
To be eligible for the WOSB, a firm must be at least 51 percent owned and controlled by one or more women, and primarily managed by one or more women. In the case of MCA, that woman is veteran media maven Blaire Fanning who co-founded the company and is its Chief Executive Officer, a role she also serves at Russell Johns Associates (http://russelljohns.com).
This latest acknowledgment by an independent outside agency is MCA-RJA’s fourth in less than a year. Last fall the company was listed at No. 20 on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s List of the Top 100 women-owned companies in the Bay area. In February, the Tampa Award Program identified MCA as one of the area’s best Advertising Agencies.
In March it was announced that the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) had approved MCA-RJA’s Fanning into its membership. NAPW defines itself as “The largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country,” spanning virtually every industry and profession.
Alex Clevenger, Senior National Broadcast Media Specialist, describes MCA as “a full-service media company that truly cares about the success of its clients,” while RJA (Russell Johns Associates) is a nationally known publisher’s representative that connects advertisers with the nation’s top media brands in the publishing industry, including Healthy Living, the American Journal of Medicine, Globe, National Enquirer, National Examiner, Star, and USA TODAY.
“We understand the language of media because we have grown and changed with advertising for more than 40 years,” Clevenger said. “We are experts at evaluating the productivity of an advertising campaign across all types of platforms.”
Fanning has been a media professional for more than 30 years; she co-founded MCA in 2004 and went on to acquire Russell Johns Associates (http://russelljohns.com) in 2014. The MCA-RJA family of firms includes Classified Advertising Plus, LLC, dba PrintAndRadio.com; Blaire.co; and MCAads dba Russell Johns Associates. Offices are at 5020 W. Linebaugh Ave., Suite 210, in Tampa.
The award-winning CEO explains MCA’s success this way: “We take pride in the success of each and every one of our clients. Being able to play a primary role in helping a small company grows and watching them achieve their goals is a huge motivator for us.”
