Music Dealers™, the Chicago-based music agency and global B2B music licensing platform, has teamed up with real estate company HEARN to present the first-ever Summer Concert Series to be held at the John Hancock Center’s outdoor plaza. Marking the first time the best musical talent from Chicago has been brought together to showcase their music for a hometown crowd, the free weekly concert series kicks off this Wednesday, July 16, with long time Music Dealers solo artist and American Idol alumni, Jeffrey Goldford.
For eleven weeks, the Summer Concert Series will feature performances from two Chicago artists every Wednesday night at 5 P.M. for Chicagoans and tourists enjoying the Chicago summer. Each artist, hand selected by Music Dealers from their very own global artist community, will showcase the best musical talent from Chicago.
Many of the artists performing in the Summer Concert Series will also be in the lineup of other leading summer festivals around the country, including Lollapalooza, etc. The concert series will also debut new music - including the first live performances of ten songs over the course of the summer - one new song per week.
Music Dealers CEO and Co-founder, Eric Sheinkop says, “I was born and raised in downtown Chicago. Going to Lincoln Park High School, a Chicago Public School, it was clear to me that there was an absence of musical support outside of school hours. It’s been a dream of mine since then to create something special and showcase the amazing talent this city has to offer.”
