The Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) has elected Simplifile’s Senior Software Developer Matthew Hailstone as the new Vice Chair of Architecture for the MISMO Architecture Workgroup, chartered with providing technical expertise and guidance within the organization.
“I’m honored to have the respect of the MISMO community in serving the role as Vice Chair of the Architecture Workgroup, and it has been my pleasure to work alongside so many people throughout the organization,” Hailstone said. “I look forward to continuing the effort to create a standard that is technically sound, including all facets necessary in the standard that will keep making the impact needed in the industry.”
The MISMO Architecture Workgroup establishes the technology priorities for MISMO, under guidance from the Governance Committee. The Workgroup coordinates and integrates recommendations of the other MISMO Workgroups, MISMO subscribers, and interested parties into an XML standard for the mortgage industry as well as maintain that standard with subsequent revisions.
The Architecture Workgroup is also responsible for establishing the architectural framework on which the standards are developed including guidance on the use of other standards.
Hailstone has been involved with MISMO since 2009, serving as co-chair of the Document Services Workgroup and Administrator for the XML Digital Signature Implementation Guide. In addition to his new role as the Vice Chair of Architecture, he is also the Core Data Structures Representative for eMortgage and the Administrator of the SMART Doc® PDF Implementation Guide Development Workgroup (DWG).
Hailstone was recognized as a “Featured Contributor” in MISMO’s latest Contributor Focus Newsletter for his efforts in the organization, wearing multiple hats and providing education and training to other workgroups and committees.
