Motocol Recognized as a Top Startup of the Year at Annual Colorado Technology Associations's APEX Awards
Greenwood Village, CO (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- Motocol, the leading mobile software developer in Colorado, announced that it was named one of three finalists for the Apex Technology Startup of the Year.
APEX is the Colorado Technology Association’s annual industry conference celebrating accomplishments, recognizing excellence, sparking innovation and introducing disruptive opportunities. Now in its 13th year, eleven categories comprise the Apex Awards program to recognize the leaders in the Colorado area.
The Technology Startup of the Year category honors the most promising Colorado-based technology startup companies. Erik Mitisek, CEO of Colorado Technology Association commented, “At the dinner September 10th, 850 industry leaders came together to celebrate and honor technology excellence in Colorado. Motocol was recognized because it is disrupting the $1.6B Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) space with a new framework that capitalizes on the competitive advantages of Cloud Computing and HTML5. Since the program’s inception in 2000, CTA’s APEX Event has been recognizing praiseworthy technology companies, like Motocol.”
“We are proud to be distinguished as a finalist among Colorado’s leading startups for the 13th Annual Apex Awards,” said Patrick Bailey, CEO of Motocol. “Innovation requires the courage to do something without precedent, and it is a great honor to be recognized by the Colorado Technology Association for the highly disruptive approach we have taken to simplify BYOD and mobile application development for the enterprise.”
Motocol has grown significantly since it was founded by Bailey in 2010. Their mission is developing enterprise-grade software that meets all challenges created by the emerging generation of smart phones, tablets and other devices. Bailey takes on all the really hard issues, like security, integration and cross-platform compatibility, with a leadership team comprised of top talent from all over the industry. Motocol continues to innovate in the fast-paced world of the mobile platform.
