MRPC Expands Team to Meet Growing Demand for Manufacturing
Butler, Wis. (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 -- MRPC, a single-source provider of medical device components and assemblies, announces an expanded team and client base with the addition of two engineers and two major clients. These additions come shortly after the company announced their expansion and numerous award wins.

Greg Hug joins MRPC as Senior Project Engineer. Hug brings over 25 years of experience to the team in the mechanical engineering field with exposure to automotive, consumer products and project management. He received a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering and master’s degree in engineering management from Milwaukee School of Engineering. Utilizing his experience, he manages new product development projects including product design review, specifying and procuring tooling, and other project management activities.
Eric Schofield joins MRPC as Manufacturing Engineer. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt with experience in rubber compression tooling, molded rubber processes, machine design, fixture design, root cause analysis and lean manufacturing. At MRPC, Schofield is responsible for reviewing part designs with respect to secondary operations and inspection methodology. He anticipates, conceptualizes, designs and sources the fabrication of fixtures and tooling required for production support.
The MRPC team is made up of 120 employees in Butler, Wis. and 20 at its Largo, Fla. location. MRPC acquired ETI Incorporated, a Largo-based firm with expertise in liquid silicone rubber molding, over one year ago. Since then, the company has grown sales by 45 percent and expects to grow an additional 20 percent by the end of 2014 while continuing to add new jobs.
Since acquiring the southeast division, MRPC has made it a priority to identify and close new business in Florida. “We recognized the underutilized capabilities of our southeast team and made it a goal to secure new business that would allow the team to showcase their manufacturing expertise,” said Riemer.
Now, two new medical grade silicone clients have been added to MRPC’s roster. One client, based out of Minneapolis, was previously manufacturing product in China. By working with MRPC, that product is now being produced and packaged at the Florida location. The second new client is based out of Europe and is also manufacturing product at MRPC’s Florida location.
The team and client growth come soon after award recognition and an expansion kick-off. MRPC was recently recognized by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a 2013 Top Workplace in Southeastern Wisconsin and as a Future 50 Company by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC). The expansion at MRPC’s headquarters was kicked off in May and is expected to be complete by the end of November. The project will add 15,000-square-feet to the 85,000-square-foot facility.
