Madeline Medina-González Writes Memoir As Testament to God’s Love
MIAMI (PRWEB) May 29, 2014 -- Author Madeline Medina-González reaches out to those in search of forgiveness and redemption and shares her own story of transformation and spiritual growth in her new book, “Metamorphosis: My Journey of Faith” (published by CrossBooks).
Born in Puerto Rico, Medina-González spent the first 19 years of her life there before moving to the United States to settle in Florida. She looks back at her formative years and chronicles her struggles as a shy little girl who experienced fear, loss, illness and feelings of abandonment.
The trauma from being a victim of rape sent Medina-González on a path of self-destruction, one that she would stay on for nearly 20 years. After years of failed relationships and estrangement from God and her family, she finally hit rock bottom and called out to God for help.
Using the analogy of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, “Metamorphosis” shows how each stage of the author’s transformation served a vital purpose. She realized that God had been there all along, and when she finally opened her arms to him, she found salvation, forgiveness, mercy, grace, healing and unconditional love.
“My message is that God is real and His love is unconditional,” says Medina-González. “He still does miracles, restores souls, mends broken hearts, and forgives our sins when we call unto Him and receive Him as Lord and Savior with an open heart.”
