In “Reflections: A Book of Poems” (published by WestBow Press), poet Marilyn Struzik encourages readers to take a moment to reflect on what is meaningful in life through her inspiring new poetry collection.

“My poems were written from personal experience and observation,” Struzik shares. “My husband and I spend summers at our family cottage on the shores of Lake Superior in Ontario. These summers provided much of my inspiration.”

Described by Struzik as poetry potpourri, “Reflections” contains poems pertaining to all different aspects of life. The poems range in topic from the natural and animal worlds to poems for children. Struzik infuses the beauty and tranquility of the lazy summer days on Lake Superior together with other personal memories and reflections.

An excerpt from the poem, “An Early Snow, featured in “Reflections”:

“Pine needles turned white
As I watched the snow
Disappear into the grass below.

Thanks be to the Hand that
Gently shook my backyard globe.”
