Martin Zen’s New Novel Shows Tremendous Power in Little Deeds
Zurich, Switzerland (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- Author Martin Zen has more than 20 years of experience in advising others in the fields of leadership, communication and crisis management. His latest novel, “I Am: Living With Six People” (published by Balboa Press) takes his experience and brings it to life through the character Quincy, a 14-year-old boy on a mission to repair the world.
Quincy – a boy with a heart of gold – lives life with his eyes wide open and an imagination that knows no bounds. His day-to-day routine consists of enjoying life for the adventure that it is and helping others in any way possible. As a 14-year-old he knows his reach is limited, but still finds his little deeds around the town make a big impact on those around him.
“I want to make people aware of the beauty in the world and their direct surroundings,” Zen says. “You can see it when you walk around in life with open eyes, taking your personal responsibilities. I want to make (readers) aware that changing a small world can change a much bigger world as a result.”
Throughout “I Am”, Quincy meets numerous people on his quest to change the world for the better. From talking to plants to creating what he believes is an ideal school, Quincy’s journey stands as a testament to the power behind even the smallest of good deeds.
An excerpt from “I Am”:
“I am of the opinion that the children should decide what is being learned in school and not the teachers. The only requirement should be that the children are able to read, write, and do basic mathematics by the age of ten. Whether they can master this already at five or not until nine does not really matter. It is important that we are allowed to do what pleases us and what stirs our interest.”
