Mary Lou Mirante Draws Strength from Husband’s Passing in New Book
Bloomingdale, IL (PRWEB) June 14, 2014 -- When Mary Lou Mirante’s husband, Tony, passed away, she was absolutely devastated. Furthering her distress was her desire to tell his story. As bad as she wanted to write it, the pain was simply too great, but a voice kept telling her again and again to write the story. Finally she found the strength and finished her first book, “With Death Before Us: A Memoir” (published by AuthorHouse).
“No matter what rebuttal I came up with, the words kept repeating,” Mary Lou writes. “You need to get the word out? Finally relenting, I responded, I’ll write a book! But, you’ll need to help me every step of the way.”
Mary Lou Mirante’s husband, Tony, had suffered from health problems his entire life. Before going to Maui for a family vacation, Tony went to the doctor and was told he had another nodule on his lung. While the family was fully prepared for another health-related complication, they weren’t prepared for the prognosis of three months.
Mary Lou not only wrote “With Death Before Us” as a testament of her love for her husband, but in hope that it will inspire strength in those that are going through a similar situation. She hopes her husband living nine months beyond his prognosis will serve as a testament to the strength he had, and the strength given to him through the love of those around him.
