International Media Company Gets Motivated at Lane End Conference Centre

18 members of the media giant – who deliver films, programmes and news to a global audience - converged at the residential conference centre in Buckinghamshire for their quarterly team away day.
The compact one-day conference - centred on the theme ‘Motivation’ - comprised business presentations in the morning and a series of interactive activities in the afternoon.
Neil Clough – one of the final five contestants in this year’s series of The Apprentice - delivered the event’s keynote speech.
For the main team building activity the company chose Lane End’s unique off-road Segway challenge.
Facilitated by the centre’s recommended team building supplier, Hi5 Events, the outdoor session involved delegates riding Segways -futuristic two-wheeled electrical scooters - across various terrains in the 26-acre grounds.
A spokesperson for the media and entertainment company said: “Feedback showed that the off-road Segway experience was the highlight of the event.
“Not only was it enjoyable but it was the perfect activity to get everyone working together as they learnt how to balance and control the Segway.”
In the evening the group enjoyed a three-course dinner freshly prepared by Lane End’s Executive Head Chef, Mike Day.
The media company’s spokesperson added: “We were really pleased with the quality of facilities and service at Lane End.
“Also, as our team members are based in different areas of the country, the venue’s central location was ideal.”

“Comments were really positive and the Segway driving experience proved a real hit.
