New Ultra-condensed Version of the “Holy Bible” to Be Released in Time for Summer Solstice
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- After more than 40 years of writing inspirational notes, stories, poems and words on scraps of paper, in notebooks and on the computer, a Bishop (O.F.J) in the One Holy Catholic Orthodox and Undivided Apostolic Church of God enlisted the help of retired teacher and writer Ann Kirschner to “translate into everyday American English” what he believes are “life-changing words which will cause people to question what they believe.”
Not designed to take the place of any existing Bible, which the Bishop calls one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written, this ultra-condensed version contains many of the same messages God delivered to men thousands of years ago. While meditating for at least an hour each day for the last 40 years, the Bishop believes he has been inspired to share the insight and wisdom he has been empowered to write.
“So many people don’t understand what the Bible says,” the Bishop explained. “This short book contains the most important information from our Creator: Just love one another and expect nothing in return.” The Bishop, who chooses to remain anonymous, offers people a 30-day challenge to read this book, apply the message to their life and see what happens. He believes the message is so powerful that anyone reading it will not only question what their real beliefs are, but also how they live their lives. “People need to understand that much of what we are taught in modern-day religions having nothing to do with what God wants for us—it is all about how man has interpreted the message.” And the Bishop believes this book contains what people need to know.
The book, entitled “Meditations of a Modern-Day Bishop” follows the journey of Matthew, an Orthodox Jew, who is seeking the spiritual guidance in his life that he feels is missing. He questions whether he observes the Jewish traditions because he believes what they mean, or if he does it out of duty, with no application to his daily life. As Matthew begins his spiritual journey, he engages in many things that people today are doing: Self-medicating, experimenting with anything and everything that enlightens their own ego, and living a life all about “self.” Matthew eventually comes to the realization that this life is just part of his journey and there is much more to come once we leave it.
The Bishop, was once declared to be a “guru,” by a mentor has chosen anonymity because he believes he is simply the vehicle that delivers the message intended for today’s modern society. “Many times I get phone calls asking for help to an emotional situation or a life’s dilemma. I never profess to know the answers—but somehow I always have the words. The Creator gives me what I need, when I need it, and enables me to share it with others. It’s a miraculous thing.”
