Taking the test in a private setting may greatly reduce test-anxiety. If your student is not a morning person, the Flex Test is a great opportunity. It is also a strong option for students with ADHD or other learning differences.

Students can now take an official SSAT Flex Test in a private, distraction-free setting.

International College Counselors offers the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) on an individual basis. This approach benefits students who do not perform their best in small, overcrowded rooms and-or prefer a more personal approach to standardized testing.

The SSAT Flex Test can be taken instead of the regular SSAT test. Schools view the Flex Test in exactly the same way as the nationally-scheduled SSAT taken in a group setting. While the SSAT Standard Test and the SSAT Flex Test have different titles, they are the same and present the same material.

Designation as an authorized test center allows International College Counselors to accommodate parents and students, including international students. Students can register for a date and time that works best for them. The test is offered throughout the year.

International College Counselors is one of three educational consultants in Florida to offer the Flex testing and the only one in Broward County.

“Taking the test in a private setting may greatly reduce test-anxiety. If your student is not a morning person, the Flex Test is a great opportunity. It is also a strong option for students with ADHD or other learning differences,” said educational consultant Mandee Heller Adler, CEO of International College Counselors.

What is the SSAT
The SSAT is a multiple-choice test that consists of verbal, quantitative (math), and reading comprehension sections, plus an unscored writing sample. The Middle Level SSAT is for students in grades 5-7; the Upper Level SSAT is for students in grades 8 and above. The Middle and Upper Level SSATs provide professionals in independent or private middle and high schools with an idea of a student’s academic ability and help them decide whether a student would be a good fit in their schools.
