The Handley Family Foundation is joining forces with Lagniappe Academies to provide a festive holiday party and premium Christmas presents for all students at the school.
The event will take place on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Lagniappe Academies in New Orleans. It will feature a visit from Santa Claus and special performances by the Lagniappe Academies Dance and Drama Teams. Lagniappe Academies is located at 1501 St. Louis Street in New Orleans in modular buildings next to the Iberville housing development.
“We recognize that the teachers and students at Lagniappe Academies work so hard throughout the year and they deserve a joyous holiday season,” said Handley Family Foundation Co-Chair Michael Handley. “I am grateful that the Handley Family Foundation is able to provide support to such a deserving organization.”
Earlier this year, the Handley Family Foundation, along with Samaritan’s Feet International and Townsend Addiction Treatment Centers, provided new shoes for all Lagniappe Academies students.
“We see the future of Louisiana in these kids and they deserve the very best,” said Handley Family Foundation Co-Chair Schanda Handley. “Our goal is to provide that for them.”
The Handley Family Foundation, based out of Lafayette, Louisiana, is the philanthropic division of the Handley Companies. The foundation proudly supports organizations that foster and develop human potential by nurturing spiritual, physical, and mental wellness and growth.
