MilitaryRecord.org has optimized their site and services to make them available on most major mobile devices, the company said yesterday.

“We are always trying to make our service as useful as possible to people,” a MilitaryRecord.org spokesman said. “And what we've heard from people is that they don't want to be confined to using our service on their desktop. They want to be able to use it in real life and on the go. Making our service available on mobile devices is the way to make that happen – so it's what we did.”

MilitaryRecord.org search services can now be accessed by iPads, iPhones, Android-enabled devices, and Microsoft phones, he said.

“As soon as you log into our site, our software will identify the type of device you are using and switch you to the page that is ideal for your device,” he said. “It will all work automatically. You don't have to do anything but log in.”

Customers said they wanted this option for various reasons, he said.

“The most common is that if people meet a potential romantic partner in a bar or club and they claim to be a military hero, they want to verify that before going home with them,” he said. “The other reason is that when people are at trade shows or job fairs, they want to verify the claims people make to them right away.”
