I was drawn to 101 Mobility’s reputation as a community-minded business and saw the franchise as a vehicle to help a large and underserved population.
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) March 11, 2014
Donna Dziewik, owner of Wisconsin’s first 101 Mobility location, retired from direct sales and global sales management in in-vitro diagnostics to make a difference in the greater Milwaukee and Madison areas. As the senior population grows and people with disabilities continue to be underserved, Donna saw the value in bringing 101 Mobility to Wisconsin. The company provides mobility solutions, repairs, and installations while giving Donna and her team the outlet to help others.
The tipping point for Donna to leave a fifteen year career in biotech sales began with her mother. As her mother’s health declined, Donna and her siblings recognized how important it was for their mother to age in the comfort of her own home. “I personally observed the benefits of aging-in-place with my mother and there are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for that.” Donna said, “I was drawn to 101 Mobility’s reputation as a community-minded business and saw the franchise as a vehicle to help a large and underserved population.”
14.4% of the state’s population is over retirement age (quickfacts.census.gov). Donna has turned her passion for improving quality of life for others into the fuel needed to assist the state’s growing senior population as well as residents with disabilities. This “woman on the move” is not alone in her determination to provide better solutions for local families and businesses – she is joined by several friends and her son, Ryan Dziewik in the new business venture.
