Author Monique Antionette’s new book of poetry “The Truth Is...” (published by iUniverse) is verse, as she says, “straight from my soul in hopes to make me whole and helps to others better to weather storms in their lives”.

Antionette hopes that her poetry will inspire her readers to simply do better and be better, at whatever task they’re doing or path they’re walking, in the face of any challenges. She has learned to overcome any obstacle herself, and knows the freedom such perseverance brings.

An excerpt from “The Truth Is…,” from the poem “A Good Book”:

THE ONE:
THAT WOULD LOVE U. . .
LIKE NO WOMAN HAS BEFORE. . .
WOULD KEEP U YEARNIN FOR MORE MENTALLYEMOTIONALLYAND PHYSICALLY BUT U DON’T EVEN WANT TO DISCOVER SOLELY BASED ON MY BOOK’S COVER

“The Truth Is...” is the sequel to Antionette’s first book, "How I Really Feel," which was released in 2004.
