Monte De Oro Hits a Hole in One for Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational
Temecula, CA (PRWEB) February 04, 2016 -- Ken Zignorski, Managing Member and General Manager of Monte De Oro Winery recently announced the winery will be the exclusive wine sponsor at the annual Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational. This year’s Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational, dubbed “100 Years of Sinatra,” will be hosted by Barbara Sinatra and co-hosted by Joe Mantegna, and takes place at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA. Proceeds benefit the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children.
“It is an honor to not only provide refreshment for this fun-filled 3 day event but to help support the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children,” said Ken Zignorski, of Monte De Oro Winery. “The center provides important and beneficial counseling for victims of physical, sexual and emotional child abuse.”
The mission of the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children is to break the generational cycle of abuse by focusing on prevention and education. Approximately 90% of its budget comes from the generosity of a caring, worldwide community, charitable organizations and fundraising events, such as the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational.
Known as “Frank’s little party in the desert,” Barbara and Frank Sinatra founded the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational in 1988 to raise funds for the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children at Eisenhower Medical Center. Since then, “Frank’s little party in the desert” has grown to be one of the area’s most prestigious golf tournaments.
Monte De Oro also started relatively small, and since has become one of Temecula Valley’s most prestigious vintners. When they broke ground to build Monte De Oro Winery in fall 2007, they had 65 owners.
