East Anglia's leading contract cleaning company, Monthind Clean LLP, is awarded ISO 14001 Accreditation
Colchester, Essex (PRWEB UK) 10 September 2015 -- Monthind Clean LLP, East Anglia’s leading contract cleaning company, is proud to have maintained ISO 9001 accreditation since it was first awarded the status in 1992, and has now been awarded its ISO 14001 accreditation. All of Monthind’s procedures and systems have been fully assessed and accredited with ISO 9001: 2008 and registration demonstrates a company’s ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO 14001 is evidence of systems being in place to minimize the company’s operations negative effect on the environment.
ISOs are International Standards which are produced by the International Organisation for Standardization; an independent, non-governmental organization made up of 163 member countries. They have published nearly 20,000 International Standards covering industries from food safety, healthcare and technology to agriculture. These standards ensure that products and services are safe and reliable, and consumers can be confident that they meet specified standards.
2014 saw significant changes in Monthind’ s Business Services function. Personnel adjustments and amendments to existing systems and processes, along with the introduction of the new Customer Relationship Management System, presented a challenge to the management team at Monthind. All of the company’s policies and procedures were individually assessed, and where necessary rewritten in accordance with changes in business operations. Much of that work fell onto the shoulders of Trudy Dempsey, Monthind’s Business Service Manager, as did the preparation for ISO 14001. “Monthind already had the majority of processes and procedures in place, for both standards, but to be accredited you must be able to evidence that, at all times. Collating evidence and keeping procedures up to date is a time-consuming process, and we are recruiting a Business Administrator to help us to keep a check on everything.”
The nature of Monthind’s business has the potential to have a significantly negative effect on the environment, and the company has always made every effort to avoid this. Its large fleet of vehicles are all low emission, consideration is given to the chemicals used, and waste carriage is compliant with specific restrictions. “Monthind takes its corporate social responsibility very seriously,” says Trudy,” by being accredited with ISO 14001, we can prove this to potential clients. ISOs do create extra work for management, but they are worth it.”
