Travel Weekly’s Magellan Award is a premier award recognizing the best of the best in travel. Contestants are judged against an industry standard of excellence in everything from travel design to marketing campaigns, with the contest being open to hotels and resorts, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agencies, tour operators and car rental companies.
Montrose Travel’s “Discover Your Travel Style” campaign won the Silver Award for Best Marketing Campaign among entries from industry leaders like American Airlines, Expedia, Ensemble Travel and more from across the U.S. and around the world.
“Discover Your Travel Style” was a fun and imaginative campaign that allowed participants to discover their ideal vacation and "travel style." The interactive campaign helped travelers identify with styles like a museum-going Cultural Chameleon, the beach-loving Sun Seeker, the daring Active Adventurer and a luxury-oriented Five Star Fanatic. Fully customized, dream itineraries were created through Montrose Travel partnerships to fit every travel type, and participants were invited to work with one of Montrose Travel’s personal vacation planners to organize their trip.
The prize-winning campaign not only strengthened relationships with existing customers by introducing them to new destinations, but also worked to introduce new customers to the services that Montrose Travel provides.
