About the Author
Lee L. Pierce has had a rich life. Her love of children eventually led her to become a teacher in America as well as overseas. Later she became a lecturer throughout New England, New York and New Jersey using 15 dolls for each lecture explaining their different cultures. She gave lectures at International fairs, hospitals, women’s clubs and at homes for the elderly. What is astounding to learn is that as a child, Lee was a tomboy. She never played with dolls or owned a doll. When she was thirteen years old, she saw the gypsy doll in a bookstore window in New York City and her life changed forever.
