The Practice focuses on equipping leaders through sharpened executive leadership and organizational effectiveness, coaching for accountability and results, developing and tuning high performing teams, and outfitting executives chartered with executing transformational-caliber divisional or enterprise-wide change.

Janice DiPietro, President of Morgan Samuels said, “We are thrilled to have Dana join our team and to be able to leverage his decades of experience leading and advising clients on corporate growth initiatives. The addition of Dana to Morgan Samuels’ senior leadership is a key part of our growth strategy of moving deeper within key industry sectors, expanding geographically and continuing to broaden our service offerings to meet the needs of the market.”

Mr. Green brings over 33 years of business experience in highly entrepreneurial settings involving large-scale business development, change leadership, and strategic management initiatives – with particular expertise in leading executives through enterprise-wide transformation. He comes to Morgan Samuels from D.A. Green & Associates, a business strategy and transformation development firm that he founded, where he personally consulted with executives of Fortune 1000 organizations on corporate growth and the means to successfully achieve it.

In 2009, Dana co-founded what is now known as Kotter International with Dr. John Kotter, Harvard Business School professor emeritus, author of the New York Times best-seller, Leading Change, and architect of the widely acclaimed 8-Step Change methodology. The firm helped leaders of both domestic and international public and private sectors develop the practical skills to successfully lead enterprise-wide change efforts often involving complex, large-scale global environments. Clients included Westinghouse, a subsidiary of the Toshiba Corporation, NetApp, Inc. and The United States Army’s Aviation Center of Excellence, the headquarters for all Army Aviation training.

Previously, Mr. Green spent nine years with Microsoft Corporation. As a Director, he held leadership responsibility for several noteworthy business ventures such as the creation of MSN; the founding of Expedia, from concept through buildup, spinout, and IPO; and the establishment of MSNBC. In addition, Mr. Green led key aspects of 44 corporate acquisitions valued at over $8 billion.

Mr. Green began his career as a senior manager at The Boeing Company, where his many projects over eleven years included the European economic offset planning associated with the U.S. Government’s sale of Boeing’s AWACS aircraft to NATO, program managing large-scale supercomputing and software development initiatives for the City of New York and the US Air Force, and several engagements with the Department of Defense.

Mr. Green earned a BA degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Business Management from Seattle Pacific University and was appointed Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School in 2012.

“I’m excited to collaborate with the Morgan Samuels team to enhance the firm’s resources and perspectives for our clients,” said Dana Green. “This is a rich environment to further develop the opportunities to blend human capital consulting services with retained executive search offerings, which naturally go hand-in-glove.”
