Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey to Celebrate 6th Annual Winter Holiday Tradition in Morristown
Morristown, NJ (PRWEB) October 22, 2015 -- The VNA’s Celebration of Life Holiday Event, now in its 6th year, has become an annual tradition in downtown Morristown. At 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, the public is invited to attend a complimentary community outdoor tree lighting on the corner of South Street and James Street in Morristown. Light refreshments will be provided. The tradition is held each year to honor and remember loved ones who will be missed during the holiday season.
Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, guests are invited to attend VNA’s holiday fundraiser held inside the agency’s headquarters. Live entertainment will be provided by Kevin Gray and the 78 West Jazz Ensemble while guests enjoy a delightful selection of wines and hors d’oeuvres. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on unique items at the silent auction, order holiday floral arrangements at Bedminster Florist’s on-site display and try their luck at the cork pull. Tickets are $50 per person and numerous sponsorship, advertising and underwriting opportunities are available.
Proceeds benefit the VNA of Northern NJ Foundation and provide critical funding for VNA’s programs and services.
No advance registration is required for the public tree lighting. For more information or to purchase tickets for the Wine Tasting & Reception, please contact Amanda DeFelice at (973) 451-4169 or email [email protected]
“This event has become a wonderful VNA tradition that brings the community together to celebrate family and friends and remember those who are no longer with us,” said CEO Faith F. Scott, FACHE. “It’s one of numerous seasonal activities we undertake each winter. The holiday season can be a time of sadness and stress, especially for the homebound and those who serve as their caregivers. Our VNA has been lending a helping hand by delivering comfort and encouragement year round for more than 117 years.”
Visit VNA’s Celebration of Life webpage to learn more about the event and to create a Web Memorial, a meaningful and lasting remembrance in honor of a loved one. The opportunity to create a Web Memorial is available throughout the year. Donations support VNANNJ programs and services that provide direct care for the greater Morris area community.
