Artist and Winery Join Forces to Raise Awareness and Funds for Wild Horses
Amador County, California (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- When artist Donna Bernstein painted Into the Light, an homage to the plight of America’s wild horses and the efforts to save them, she had no idea that the painting would inspire a joint venture with Morse Wines - based in Fiddletown, CA - and Return to Freedom’s American Wild Horse Sanctuary.
Donna Bernstein (http://www.donnabernstein.com) is a contemporary equine artist, based in McCall, ID and Scottsdale, AZ. Her paintings and sculpture can be seen in galleries and collections around the world. Both elegant and joyful, her work embodies the presence and power of the inspirational equine. "I have learned it is not horses that I paint," she says; "I paint how they make me feel. Into the Light expresses the magnificent energy of our American Mustang, and I am honored to join with Morse Wines in supporting Return to Freedom on their behalf."

Return to Freedom (http://www.returntofreedom.org) is a nonprofit wild horse preservation organization based in Lompoc, CA. Founded in 1997, the organization works to preserve America’s dwindling wild horse herds through sanctuary, conservation, education and advocacy.
The Horseplay label will be released on May 3rd, 2014 at the Return to Freedom sanctuary during their annual benefit and spring release of the herds. Guests will get to taste the vintage for the first time as well as bid on the original painting, Into the Light, which will be featured in the silent auction, proceeds from which are being directly donated by Donna B to Return to Freedom.
