The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Susan Bigger as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in real estate. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

After 13 years of working as a Systems Consultant, Ms. Bigger made the decision to switch careers and enter the field of real estate. She was confident the interviewing, negotiating and organizational skills she honed at her previous job would be an asset in her new professional endeavor. She also felt real estate sales was a good way to become integrated into her community.

Ms. Bigger, who obtained her M.B.A. from Columbia University, became a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in 1998; she joined Houlihan Lawrence in 2007. “I am responsible for providing outstanding service to both sellers and buyers as they negotiate the complex process of selling or buying a home,” she said. Her exceptional interviewing skills allow her to determine the specific needs of her clients.

“I find helping first-time home buyers to purchase a home the most rewarding part of my career,” Ms. Bigger said. “They often need more guidance and referrals to service professionals, which I can provide.” Whether they are newlyweds looking for their dream house, seasoned buyers looking to purchase a vacation home or current homeowners looking to downsize, she has the knowledge and expertise to help her clients successfully negotiate the often complex process of selling or buying a home.

“I view every successful real estate transaction as my biggest accomplishment because I have helped someone through a process that is life changing,” said Ms. Bigger, who was awarded Five Star Real Estate Agent 2011-2012 Westchester Magazine.
