NAPW Inducts Sara Blackwell, Employment Attorney / Litigation Attorney / Author / Professor, Blackwell Firm, Into Its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 02, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Sara Blackwell as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in law. Sara Blackwell was the first person in her family to graduate college. In 2002, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University graduating at the top of her class. As a practicing Attorney for 13 years, she has represented the US, large companies, a hospital and individuals.
“This year, I opened my own firm. I wanted the freedom to charge reasonable fees and help people who are in need without the large firm requirement of charging high fees,” said Ms. Blackwell. “I use my cell phone as my work phone to show my clients they are important to me and can speak to me anytime.”
Ms. Blackwell’s reputation as a tough but fair negotiator and litigator who is always available to her clients is evident by her success. She also shares her expansive knowledge of the law with students as a Professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa. But this hard-working, single mother of three has talents beyond being a lawyer and teacher; she is also a published Writer.
“I published my first novel, Destiny of One, at the end of last year,” said Ms. Blackwell. “My second book, Venergy, is being edited now and I am currently writing my third novel, From Dreams to Ashes in Paris.”
A competitor in Brazilian Jujitsu and a fitness fanatic, Ms. Blackwell is always challenging herself and is proud of her many accomplishments. But she does not stop there. “Recently, I became involved in an organization for the elderly,” she said. “I review individual’s memoirs and stories or I assist them in expressing their words into a book. I want everyone to have the opportunity to leave behind a legacy of words for future generations.”
Ms. Blackwell’s future plans include growing her company, writing and teaching. She also aims to continue to grow and evolve in her careers and in her community. Her high energy and big spirit pushes her to challenge herself and to continuously pursue multiple endeavors.
