NAPW Inducts Delilah Richmond, Program Administrator II, Cobham Mission Systems, Inc., Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 31, 2016 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Deliliah Richmond as a 2016-2017 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in Management. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Delilah Richmond got her start within her industry of choice after earning a temp job. After taking a tour of the Cobham Mission Systems facility, she found herself impressed with the company and was happy to accept a position.
“I have been in my present position for three years and eight months,” Ms. Richmond said. “I communicate with the head office in the United Kingdom, maintain import and export records, perform a variety of administrative support activities and identify areas of relative concern for various project and program execution—and then make recommendations to the Program Manager as appropriate.” Ms. Richmond’s hard work has paid off, as her department recently won the Sir Alan Cobham Silver Award for Customer Satisfaction.
Ms. Richmond utilizes a number of skills to perform her job duties to the best of her ability—including clerical, oral and written communication-related skills. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management as well as an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and an Associate of Applied Science from Northwest Florida State College in Industrial Management Technology. She completed both degrees following 26 years with the United States Air Force. “I have been the second in my family to choose the military, and the first in my family to obtain a college degree,” Ms. Richmond said.
In looking toward the future, Ms. Richmond hopes to complete a variety of online-based courses to gain greater credentials. She also hopes to work in an international capacity.
For her commitment to achieving success according to her personal standards of excellence, and for her outstanding accomplishments in enriching her position with her diversified proficiencies, Ms. Richmond is being honored as a leader and role model for her profession.
