NAPW Inducts Cindy Starwalt, Financial Aid Advisor Manager, Eastern Illinois University, Into Its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cindy Starwalt as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in higher education administration. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to recognize Cindy with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

After successfully completing her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Eastern Illinois University in 2005, Cindy Starwalt returned to her alma mater as a Financial Aid Advisor Manager in September 2010.

Since then, Ms. Starwalt has worked diligently to educate and counsel students regarding all of their available financial assistance options. Using her proven expertise in financial aid requirements and law, she makes sound judgements in providing grants, loans and scholarships to help eligible students pay for the costs of their education.

Ms. Starwalt is also responsible for managing an entire staff of Financial Aid Officers. With her well-honed skills in staff development and leadership, she has played an integral role in the growth and achievements of her team. Ms. Starwalt has established a reputation among her peers and the entire student body for her outstanding knowledge in student development, admissions, program development, student recruiting, career development, academic advising and student affairs.

Ms. Starwalt was recently recognized by Eastern Illinois University for over 20 years of dedicated service. Her current position within the university fully utilizes the dedication and aspirations for success that have earned her this recognition from the National Association of Professional Women, honoring her as an inspiration and a leader in her industry.
