National Association of Professional Women Inducts Patricia Darnley, President of Gateway Health, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

Patricia Darnley selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to recognize Patricia with this important honor. Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Patricia Darnley as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

“I’m pleased to recognize Patricia with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

In the beginning of 2014, Gateway Health announced Patricia Darnley as their new President and CEO. She has over 20 years of health plan and managed care experience. Ms. Darnley brings extensive expertise in financial management, as well as operations, underwriting, administration, strategic development and all components critical to management.

“I am excited to lead Gateway Health during this period of dynamic growth, change and expansion,” she said.

Ms. Darnley has received her M.B.A. from Duquesne University and a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With her vast knowledge and sincere dedication, she will continue to provide Gateway Health’s large network with top-notch physicians, hospitals and health providers to ensure all members have access to the care they want and deserve.
