The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Sharon Otten as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

Through her pursuit of continued professional development, Sharon Otten’s expert knowledge and skills have kept pace to meet the ever-evolving compliance demands, scientific progress and regulatory issues of the medical profession. Ms. Otten is the Vice President of Patient Care Services at Advocate South Suburban Hospital / Advocate Health Care. The healthcare center specializes in serving the health needs of individuals, families and communities.

As Vice President, some of Ms. Otten’s responsibilities include healthcare management, patient relationship building, strategic planning, communications and teamwork building. She is committed to creating a workplace that is human to the core. Her skills and areas of expertise include physician care, critical care, patient safety, nursing, clinical research, EMR, healthcare consulting and procedure implementation.

With outstanding leadership qualities, Ms. Otten is an active advisor and mentor, making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those who respect her as a Nurse and Vice President.
