Barbara E. Nsonwu selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to welcome Barbara into this exceptional group of professional women. She and her company are making great strides in the medical field.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Barbara E. Nsonwu as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the medical community. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Barbara into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She and her company are making great strides in the medical field.”

Barbara E. Nsonwu received her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, and then began to raise her family in Indianapolis, where Eli Lilly & Company’s headquarters is located. Shortly after, she decided to continue her education to obtain a Master of Science in Pharmaceutics. Ms. Nsonwu believed her hard work and determination would enable her to one day join the team of Eli Lilly & Company in her hometown.

As she had hoped, Ms. Nsonwu is now an Associate Quality Consultant for the company. For the last five years, her major responsibilities have included device products’ batch disposition, release specifications’ management and onsite assessments. Along with her responsibilities, Ms. Nsonwu’s skills include paying attention to vital details to extend the quality of lives for both customers and partners.

In addition to providing customer satisfaction in the medical community, Ms. Nsonwu is proud of her accomplishment to be part of the top ten pharmaceutical companies worldwide that incorporate excellence, integrity and respect for others in their business models. Ms. Nsonwu is also the coordinator of Otu Odu Onitsha USA, a US affiliate sociocultural organization whose members are a group of very accomplished Onitsha women residing in more than 30 states. For the future, Ms. Nsonwu is continuing her education and pursuing her Ph.D. in Drug Delivery Systems within the next five years.
