National Association of Professional Women Inducts Jeanine DiMenna, Owner / Chef, The View Grill, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jeanine DiMenna as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the restaurant industry.
With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

Inspired by her grandmother, Jeanine DiMenna has always loved to cook. “My grandmother epitomized the traditional Italian housewife,” she said. “Although not a professional, her Christmas Eve spread was worthy of the finest restaurant!” Being a typical teenager, Mrs. DiMenna ”hung out” in front of the Tiffany House Restaurant at the Glen Cove Golf Course blasting music and being rowdy with friends. Tired of chasing her away, the owners at the time invited her inside and hired her to wash dishes. She found her way to the grill not long thereafter.
Coming full circle in 2013, Mrs. DiMenna became Chef and Co-Owner of The View Grill, previously the Tiffany House. In the interim, she was Sous Chef at Harrison Conference Center (now Glen Cove Mansion) before a 17-year stint as Chef and Co-Owner of Page One Restaurant. She left Page One because of the incredible potential at The View.
“Nothing is more challenging than a busy night,” she said. “Sometimes there is so much going on, you feel overwhelmed. However, if you stay focused and everything goes well, the sense of accomplishment is incredible.”
Its location on the golf course near the beach means that summers are very busy at The View. However, the challenge is to keep customers more than satisfied so that business remains strong in the winter. Mrs. DiMenna accepts this challenge with enthusiasm that has not waned despite 35 years of cooking. Indeed, just like her grandmother, she loves nothing more than to provide guests with the ultimate dining experience.
