Providing information and increasing awareness of the needs of widows, particularly in developing countries, is an important focus of Dr. Slap-Shelton’s work. She actively works with the Guild For Service in India. She was an invited guest to the first United Nations International Widows Day and speaks on the issues concerning widows in developing countries and has hosted speakers in this area as well.
